Green Glasses Weekly – Episode 1 – Walk in the Rain

Hello All! Thanks for reading this page and hopefully listening to the podcast. Green Glasses Weekly is a new podcast from Green Glasses Productions. It is about everything and nothing. However if you like music and some strange man talking about things you probably don’t care about then this is the place to hear it!

I hope I can provide this show for  you every week as much as I hope somebody out there takes the time to listen.

Here is some of what you will here in this ol’ podcast.

Freezepop – Duct Tape My Heart
What a great song! I sincerely suggest you check out Freezepop’s online store. They just released a new album and have that plus tons of goodies available. Of course you can also buy their previous albums. It is good stuff so please go spend some money!

The Boy Least Likely To – Be Gentle With Me
If you are tired of the traditional depressing music that most indie bands seem to put out you should really check out The Boy Least Likely To. They even have a free track available on their site right now for the holidays!

Yoko Kanno & The Seatbelts – Rain
If you have not watched Cowboy Bebop you are depriving yourself of not only a great anime but one of the best science fiction series ever created. Yoko Kanno does some great soundtrack work on a lot of anime but this song is one of my favorites ever. It is even greater in the context of the show.

Braid
Please go download this plus 4 other great games from humblebundle.com you will be grateful you did!

If you want to be on the show or have suggestions for me. Please leave me a message at +1(517)325-3771 or email me Ian@Green-Glasses.com

Thanks for listening!

I realize that most people read this blog and any other articles on this site via my personal Facebook page. I am completely fine with this as I realize that going to an individuals actual website is very 1990’s. I would however like to point out that if you like the things I post, whether it be comics blogs or videos, you can always just click on the title on facebook and be brought to my site. Why would you want to do this?

There are actually a few reasons. One you will be supporting my decision to have a personal website in an age of facebook-everything. Two you can actually see the articles in the manner that are intended to be seen. Facebook ruins formatting and tends to make all of my pictures look tiny. The third are the ever useful sharing and bookmarking tools at the bottom of each post. You can share my posts with your friends on Reddit, Digg, and many other great bookmarking sites. You can also get printer friendly versions or even a PDF copy. You can even click a like button straight from my site which will send more people here instead of just to the copies of the articles on facebook. This may sound like shameless self promoting. Well that is because it is! However if you only want to read my stuff on facebook. I totally understand.

Farewell Livejournal…

I have made a decision, and I am going to stick with it. I am officially leaving Livejournal forever.

It has been 7 years since my first post on this site, and boy how things have changed. I was in High School then and this whole internet thing was still pretty neat. There are so many memories here that I will cherish forever. Livejournal has been a source of solace for me in the past and I am sure it continues to be such for many of you still here.

However I have moved on. I have grown up. I still appreciate this site for what it is and what it has given me but it is time to move on.

I just don’t have the time or attention span to maintain an online presence in as many places as I do anymore.

With that said, I will keep this account open, all of the posts will still be here and if anyone chooses to comment them I will still get an email notification and reply.

If you wish to continue to follow my adventures in this crazy life of mine you can find me on facebook or just stop by my home on the web.

I will be going through these old posts and putting some of the highlights in my green-glasses.com site. So keep an out for those. And thanks for all the memories, I love you guys who have followed me and been my friend here. I hope you all are doing great 🙂

Project 3.0

The first big step in the summer of Ian begins tonight. Project 3.0 is my month long goal of getting my online eggs in a basket. My site, my social networking, my art, my music, my thoughts all in one place. The unified image of Ian presented in an easy to enjoy web site for the masses to consume.

It is something I have wanted to do for years, I never take the time to really work on it and make it fluid. This time there will be no release until it is ready. I say a month but it very well could take longer. The first content will be everything I have ever made or had my hands in. Available in one location. Then it will be the new conent to keep the party going.

I have so many ideas buzzing in my head about it. It shall be fantastic.
